Spot Dictation 听写填空
一、听力目标
Spot Dictation指听写一篇短文中的某些意群或短句。短文中的其它部分已给出，只把要
听写的部分空出来，由学生根据录音填写。这是较难的听写题型，很多考生在这种题型上丢分太多。希望通过本单元的练习，掌握做这种题目的基本技巧，练好听写这一听力的基本功，提高听力水平。
二、听前指导
Spot Dictation既要听词辨音又要一次听较多的内容，也就是说，它既要求听写单词的准确性又要求对句子大意理解的正确性，是上一章复合式听写中的单词辨音和听写句子大意两
部分的听力技巧的综合，可参照上一章听前指导中所讲的内容。除此之外，还有其它几点需要注意：首先谈语音方面的问题。因为所要听写的内容是几个单词连在一起的，所以要注意连读、失去爆破、同化、语句重音、紧缩形式等问题。下面我们分别看一下。
连读一般有两种情况：一是前一词的词尾辅音和后一词的词首元音连读。如：
What is this? ［ｗｔ〓ｉｚｉｓ］
It is a pen. ［ｉｔ〓ｉｚ〓ｐｅｎ］
另一种情况是［r］音后紧跟一个以元音开头的单词时连读。如:
Take care of ［ｔｅｉｋ ｋｒｖ］。失去爆破指爆破音
［p］［b］［t］［d］［k］［g］后面紧跟另一个爆破音或破擦音(如［ｔ］［ｄ］)时，第一个爆破音不爆破，只留出发音时间。如：a black pen ［ｂｌ( ) ｐｅｎ］
a good child［ｕ( ) ｔａｉｌｄ］
同化是指两个音连在一起时，一个音受另一个音的影响而变成与之相似的情况。如
：Glad to meet you. ［ｌｄ ｔｕ ｍｉｔｕ］
What’s that? ［ｗｔｓ ｔ］
在句子中，有的词重读，有的词弱读。重读的词一般为名词、形容词、数词、动词、副词
。弱读的词一般为冠词、介词、连词。对于弱读的词也要注意听清。如果听漏了，可根据语
法规则加上，使句子完整。
英语中有一些紧缩形式，如don’t［ｄｕｎｔ］, won’t［ｗｕｎｔ］, he’s［ｈｉｚ］, aren’t［ｎｔ］, doesn’t［ｄｚｎｔ］, wouldn’t［ｗｕｄｎｔ］等，平时要熟悉它们的书写和发音，否则考试时会引起误听。其次，短文的语义、语境和语法规则对所听写的内容起到提示和限定作用，可以根据它们对听写到的内容进行检查、补充和修改。如：可根据上下文的内容推断所听写部分的大意；根据整个句子的结构推断听写部分在句中充当什么句子成分以及以什么形式出现，是名词词组?动名词?还是动词不定式?是短语?还是短句?根据整个句子的语法形式检查听写部分和全句在时态、语态、人称等方面是否一致，等等。例如：Roy Trenton used to drive a taxi. A short while ago, however, he became a busdriver, and he has not regretted it. He is finding
his new work far more exciting.
先看第一个空。这个空的上一句说Roy原来是一个出租车司机，接着以however引起这一句，说明这一句所说的情况和以前不同。这一空的后面是并列连词and引导一个单句，说明and前所要填的部分也是一个句子，这样才符合语法规则。再从时态上看，这个空的前一句用了过去式，后一句用了现在完成式，意思是“他对此不后悔”，“it”所指的内容就是空格所要填的 内容，这一定是指一件已经发生的事，所以用过去式。再看第二个空。这个句子有主语和谓语，缺少的是宾语成分，所以要听写的是宾语部分。
三、听力训练
