网友：请问RAY，我与人交谈的时候总是反应比较迟钝，结果让对方老是占上风，教我几招吧。

Ray Matthias：Hi there,
I think there may be two reasons why you are slow to respond in conversation. It is possible that you are having problems understanding what the other party is saying; at the same time, you may be taking too long to carefully plan out what you want to say. Are you a perfectionist? I find that many students worry that I will not understand what they say unless EVERYTHING is perfect, and they won't open their mouths until they're satisfied that they've perfected their answer.
My advice to you--if you are thinking too long about your answers, is to give yourself a time-limit when you are practicing. Make about 20 cards with easy questions on them, and then put them in a small box. Randomly select one, and answer the question within... 30 seconds? When you are confident that you can answer these questions, try the same thing with questions from stage two of the IELTS speaking test.

Start with small goals, and then work your way up. You'll be a great conversationalist in no time!

李鑫：剑4一共收录了4套口语题，保持了以前剑1到剑3的风格。它们都是和真题风格相同的题目。有些问题巳经被反复使用过很多次，所以考生不用担心雅思口语考试题型有任何变化。具体的问题可能会有一些微调但整体考试风格没有变化。

网友：有时候说英语突然卡壳，要是考口语的时候也这样，我该怎么办啊？

Ray Matthias：Whenever I get nervous--regardless of the language I'm speaking-- I always try to keep smiling and maintain reasonable eye-contact with the other person. Don't furrow your brow and stare at the floor.

You may find that when you get 'stuck' you are slouching in your chair. Make a conscious effort to sit-up straight in your chair.

Ray Matthias：As a native speaker, I can recognize and understand many different English accents. Personally, I don't think it is necessary for learners to 'perfect' a British or English accent, but students must learn to speak with a clear voice. If native speakers are having trouble understanding you, perhaps you should dedicate part of your language study time on reviewing the phonetic symbols. I'm sure your accent isn't too bad; a good teacher should be able to point out a few important English sounds for you to work on. Are you having more trouble with consonant sounds or vowels?

网友：各位老师好,我在说口语的时候总是犯同样的错误,请问,我还有希望提高吗?有什么好方法?谢谢!

李鑫：在口语表达中犯错误是很正常的，只能不是影响理解的错误就不用过份担心。要改正一些习惯性的错误可以用下面的方法。当听到一句地道的英语表达时，可以要求对方重说一遍，同时把它用MP3或录音机录下来，然后找出这种地道的表达和发音与自己的表达的差距，接下来就是反复的模防录好的发音和表达，直到自己能够脱口而出。我们经常犯错误的原因是因为我们没有及时的改正而容忍自己的错误，要知道地道的语言表达是模防出来的，而不是自己创造的。

网友：老师,能否能介绍一下剑4里的几套口语题,好让我们先练一练,谢谢!

李鑫：剑4中收录的4套口语题保持以往雅思口语考试的风格和类型，其中第一阶段基本是考生的各人情况，问一些熟悉的话题。比如工作、学习和业余爱好以及家乡的情况等等。第二阶段是延用了以前的话题类型。包括述描人物、地点、事件与媒体相关的话题。剑4中收录的四张卡片分别是：1、描述一个有趣的历史古迹 2、描述你的兴趣爱好 3、描述一条河流、湖泊或海 4、描述你访问过的一个网站。第三阶段的问题都是围绕第二阶段的话题展开深入的讨论。提问的方式会更加抽象，问题的涉及面也会更广。所以需要考生平时多关注一些热门的社会话题。如文物保护、假日休闲、场市交通、现代科技等人们关心的问题。对这些问题的思考会有助于回答雅思口语第三阶段的问题。

Ray Matthias：Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed my class. In the final weeks before your test, make sure you are continuing to practice the 'pace' with which you are answering your questions. Are your answers to stage-I questions about 20 seconds long? When you practice answering stage II questions, are you repeating yourself? Try not to use the same words too often.

In the coming weeks, you should also try to surround yourself with lots of ambient English. Put on some English music while you do some homework or brush your teeth; try talking with some of your friends in English for a few minutes for fun. Watch an English VCD a few times (the same one). Don't watch the subtitles-this isn't reading practice!
