Former UN Secretary-General Boutros Ghali says China is playing an important role in the global arena. Ghali made the comment in Beijing at an international symposium on the five principles of peaceful coexistence. Ghali also hailed the constructive role China has taken in the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula’s nuclear issue.
