Undoubtedly, talents are of the first vital elements that ensure a company's smooth and successful running. And naturally comes to the core task which calls for some valuable and efficient policies so that the company can make the most use of human resources and simultaneously, the employees are pleased to the greatest extent. Under this circumstance, some come up with the measures such as high salaries, good health care system or other possible benefits. In my points of view, there are both favorable and unfavorable sides for above solutions as follows.
It is well witnessed that such incentives and remuneration packages certainly generate some positive outcomes. For example, staff would feel refreshed and energetic after annual gains, exerting their utmost on the jobs. High salaries can definitely attract and help retain the right and high qualified employees that constitute an edge over the competitors, resulting in productivity improved and then economies of scale in production achieved.
In spite of above advantages mentioned, nonetheless, such policies could become the negative factors if controlled improperly. It is convincing that the above measures can increase the financial burden, especially for those companies which are suffering a shortage of resources. In addition, the top management are not necessarily motivated by them, since they have already achieved material value. Furthermore, the ordinary employees probably become reliant by this system and, consequently, loose innovation unexpectedly. Weighing above advantages and disadvantages, I think we may adopt a less favorable policy, such as the annual-lay-off policy which could increase some reasonable pressures on staff. On the second hand, a basic salary plus bonus or commission system can be put into practice. All these may lead to relieving financial burden and meanwhile, inspiring work initiatives in the long run. To sum up, we need to take a golden-minded ,a realistic and rational attitude towards the solution as to pleasing staff. More foresight, better operation!
